How to Know if Your Faith Is Built on the Right Foundation

What happens when the foundation of our faith is wrong?

A building can look impressive, but if its foundation is faulty, it will not stand when the pressure comes. The same is true of the church and of our individual faith.

In this message, we continue looking at the biblical blueprint for the church and begin examining the essential beliefs that form its foundation.

We look at three foundational truths:

• Every person is in need of redemption, and salvation is by God's grace through faith.

• God is one God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• Jesus Christ is exactly who Scripture says He is, and everything about the Christian faith depends upon His person and work.

There are many issues Christians can disagree about and still walk together in unity, liberty, and love. But there are also foundational truths that cannot be removed without changing Christianity itself.

The question for each of us is simple: Are we building on the foundation God has given us, or are we building something of our own?

Join us as we continue asking what it means to become the church God has called us to be.

Scriptures discussed include John 3, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 10:13, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 3, Matthew 28:19, Genesis 1, and John 1.
